The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially commenced the call for applications for the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 44/2023) and the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC).
The recruitment portal was opened on October 30, 2023, and will close on December 11, 2023, according to the NAF.
It said eligible Nigerians seeking to apply for the BMTC and DSSC recruitment exercises can do so via the online recruitment portal: nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
The summary of essential criteria for applicants includes the following:
- Nationality: Applicants must be Nigerian by birth with a means of identification to validate this status.
- Age Requirements: All applicants should be at least 18 and under 22, particularly for the BMTC Recruitment. However, there are exceptions for Medical Consultants (25-40 years) and Chaplains/Imams (20-32 years).
- Height Requirements: Male applicants should have a minimum height of 1.65m, while female applicants should have a minimum height of 1.63m.
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants are expected to possess a Second Class Upper Division for holders of the First Degree and Upper Credit for HND holders.
- Olevel Result: A minimum of at least five credits in relevant subjects (including English and Mathematics) in Olevel results is essential.
- Medical Fitness: Applicants must be medically fit before applying.
- Local Government Area Attestation Form.
- Relationship Status: Applicants must be single, and pregnant women are prohibited from applying (specifically for BMTC applicants).
- For BMTC Applicants: After applying, a printed acknowledgement slip, Attestation of Parent/Guardians Form, and Local Government Area Attestation Form are required.
- A Bank Verification Number (BVN) is also needed for the application.
”Interested applicants are encouraged to adhere to the requirements outlined and apply within the specified application period, the NAF said in a statement.
