The All Progressives Congress (APC) Non-Serving Senators Group praised the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) for upholding the results of the 2023 presidential election, which President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima won.
The organisation congratulated President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima in a statement issued by its convener, Basheer Lado.
The group also expressed hope that the development would herald a new era of growth and prosperity for the nation.
They asked Nigerians to support Tinubu and Shettima’s administration in order to tackle the nation’s problems and create a better future for all residents.
The non-serving senators also said the ruling by the PEPT reaffirms the trust and confidence that Nigerians have in the judiciary as the bedrock of our democracy.
The News.ng reported last week how Justice Haruna Tsammani led a five-man panel of judges at the tribulation court on Wednesday decided that President Tinubu won the 2023 presidential elections.
The statement reads:
“The APC Non-Serving Senators Group commends the members of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) for their exemplary dedication and thorough deliberation that led to a landmark ruling affirming the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the recent presidential election.
In addition, the group praised President Tinubu and his vice, Shettima, for their visionary leadership, saying, “We have no doubt that their administration will usher in a new era of progress and prosperity for our great nation.”
