Nigerian musician and songwriter, Ahmed Ololade popularly known professionally as Asake, has clinched two awards at the prestigious 2023 Headies Awards.
Asake’s 2022 album “Mr Money With the Vibes” won Best Album, as well as the converted next-rated artiste category.
On February 8, 2022, Asake joined Olamide’s record company YBNL. He first gained notoriety in 2020 when his freestyle “Lady” went viral and had a positive response from a variety of sources globally.
His award for Album of the Year Asake beats other talented artists like Davido, Rema, Burna Boy and Omah Lay to clinch the award.
The 2023 Headies Awards was hosted on Sunday at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Terrence J, an Emmy-nominated actor, and Nigerian-American actress Osas Ighodaro co-hosted the event.
