In a significant display of unity and political endorsement, former Kogi governors Captain Idris Wada and Alhaji Ibrahim Idris have endorsed Senator Dino Melaye as the state’s next governor.

The duo expressed their unwavering vote of confidence in Senator Melaye’s leadership.

Senator Melaye is contesting to be the state’s governor under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The endorsement comes at a crucial juncture in Kogi’s political landscape, as the governorship election will be held in a few weeks.

Captain Wada and Alhaji Idris stated that Senator Melaye embodies the transformative leadership that Kogi State desperately needs.

They contend that the state’s current stagnation can only be overcome by a leader with a proven track record of converting challenges into opportunities, and they see this potential in Senator Melaye.

One key aspect of their endorsement centres on the abundant mineral resources that Kogi state is blessed with.

According to them, Senator Melaye is the catalyst for harnessing these resources to drive economic growth and development, ultimately lifting Kogi out of its current state of inertia.

Highlighting Senator Melaye’s remarkable journey from humble beginnings to his current stature, the former governors underscored that his life story exemplifies the kind of transformation that Kogi state requires.

They expressed confidence that he possesses the vision and determination to propel the state forward.

They stressed the importance of electing a governor who prioritizes the welfare of all Kogi residents, transcending tribal boundaries.

As the political climate in Kogi state continues to evolve, the endorsement of Senator Melaye is poised to shape the course of the upcoming elections.
