Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has shared his thoughts ahead of the forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games between Nigeria and South Africa.
The professional football player who commented on the game against South Africa in a chat with the media said that the Super Eagles are strong enough to conquer any opposition.
Nwabali also stated that no one can predict football, but with the calibre of players Nigeria has, if the team puts its acts together, South Africa will not be a match.
“Football is the same everywhere, but I don’t feel that with the kind of players we have, we can have any challenge in any game, especially in our group. But you cannot predict football,” He told Lagos Talks.

“Talking about South African players, I would say I know them. We have good players in our country too, so I’m not talking about those guys; they are good in their own way of playing.
“I’m not talking about them because if we can put ourselves together, they cannot match us.”
This comes days after William Troost-Ekong, emphasized the importance of the need for the Super Eagles to get results in the forthcoming World Cup qualifying games against South Africa and Benin Republic.
The professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Super League Greece club PAOK told Arise TV in a chat that it is very important the Eagles win both games because they want to qualify and partake in the 2026 World Cup.
