A social media post made by the senior special assistant to vice presidential candidate, Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Udoka Emmanuel, stated that 45 special advisers to Governor Bello Matawalle in Zamfara state have joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The development was revealed on Emmanuel’s Twitter handle that the former appointees have left the All Progressives Alliance (APC) in a bid to help the PDP win the presidential and gubernatorial elections.

Lawal Dauda and Atiku Abubakar will both run for the governorship and presidential seats ahead of the forthcoming elections in a few weeks.
Emmanuel’s tweet read: “45 special advisers resigns and Dump APC for PDP in Zamfara State.”
No official statement has been made by Governor Okowa’s aide as regards the defected members to the PDP.
