England international goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has passed his medical exam and is scheduled to sign a season-long loan deal from Southampton to Newcastle United.
Newcastle United now have the option to finalise the deal with Southampton next summer in exchange for the reliable goalkeeper who once plied his trade with Arsenal FC.
According to reports from other sports websites, such as Sky Sports and Chronicle Live, the 27-year-old goalie arrived in Newcastle on Wednesday to go through his medical examination at the team’s training base in Benton.
While travelling from Southampton, Aaron Ramsdale was spotted landing on a private plane before being taken to his new club to finish the required formalities for his new deal.
According to reports, Southampton will receive an initial loan fee of about £4 million from Newcastle United as part of the agreement. The Magpies made this move when James Trafford, their top goalkeeping target, re-signed with Manchester City.
