The Federal Government has signed an agreement with the United States Government for the repatriation of $23 million of Abacha loot.
Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Berth, signed the agreement on behalf of both countries.
According to Malami, the recovered funds would be used for infrastructural development.
The first on the list of projects that the $23 million would be committed to are the Second Niger Bridge and the Abuja-Kaduna Road.
Recall that Nigeria had, several times in the past, received tranches of the Abacha loot from other countries.
