In a statement signed by the Company Secretary, Geoff Amaghereonu, on Wednesday, the bank disclosed that the approval was granted at a meeting of its Board of Directors held on October 21, 2025.
“At the meeting of the Board of Directors of Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc (the Bank) held on 21st October 2025, the Board, inter alia, approved the Bank’s Unaudited Financial Statements for the Third Quarter ended 30th September 2025,” Amaghereonu stated.
He added that the financial statements will be filed within the regulatory timeframe set by the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
“The Unaudited Financial Statements would be filed on or before 30th October 2025, being the regulatory deadline in line with the rules of the Nigerian Exchange Limited,” the company secretary said.
Abbey Mortgage Bank also confirmed that its closed period, which began on October 1, 2025, remains in effect and will end 24 hours after the financial statements are made public.
“The Closed period, which commenced 1st October 2025, will continue until twenty-four (24) hours after the Unaudited Financial Statements have been released to the public,” Amaghereonu further noted.
News.ng reports that the closed period restricts directors, insiders, and other key personnel of the bank from trading in the company’s shares until the results are officially released, ensuring compliance with regulatory provisions on insider trading.
Abbey Mortgage Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading mortgage institutions, continues to strengthen its financial transparency and governance practices in line with market expectations and regulatory standards.
