ABC Transport Announces 32nd Annual General Meeting in Owerri

ABC Transport Plc has scheduled its 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Mayfair Suites and Conference Centre in Owerri, Imo State, the company announced.

The meeting will address several key corporate governance matters, including the presentation of audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2024. 

According to Company Secretary Onyekachukwu Chigbo in a notice sent to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Monday, shareholders will consider “the Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December 2024, together with the reports of the Directors, Auditors and Audit Committee thereon.”

Two directors are due for re-election at the meeting. The company stated that shareholders will “re-elect the following Directors who are retiring by rotation: Mr. Frank Nneji, and Mr. Emmanuel Chilaka Nwanna.”

Other agenda items include disclosing management remuneration, electing Audit Committee members, and authorizing directors to determine auditor fees. A special resolution will also be considered to fix non-executive director compensation.

The company emphasized shareholder participation rights, noting that “Securities Holders have a right to ask questions not only at the Meeting, but also in writing prior to the Meeting, and such questions must be submitted to the Company Secretary on or before 5th November, 2025.”

The Register of Members and Transfer Books will be closed from November 3 to November 5, 2025, for updates. Shareholders can appoint proxies to attend on their behalf, with completed forms due 48 hours before the meeting.

ABC Transport also reminded shareholders that unclaimed dividend warrants remain available, with a complete list posted on the company’s website at www.abctransport.com.
