Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has fueled fresh transfer speculation after unfollowing Atalanta and deleting all references to the club from his social media accounts, following a heated touchline confrontation with head coach Ivan Juric.
The incident reportedly occurred during Atalanta’s Champions League victory over Olympique Marseille, when Lookman was substituted in the 75th minute for Yunus Musah. The Nigerian forward appeared visibly frustrated as he walked off the pitch—an action that seemingly angered Juric.
Eyewitnesses say the coach grabbed Lookman by the arm and exchanged sharp words before other members of the technical crew intervened to separate them.
This latest dispute has reignited speculation about Lookman’s future at the Bergamo-based club. It comes just months after a similar episode last summer, when the 28-year-old unfollowed Atalanta and removed all club content from his pages while protesting the club’s refusal to sanction a move to Inter Milan for under €50 million.
Lookman, who briefly went AWOL from pre-season training to force a transfer, eventually returned when Inter withdrew from negotiations and no alternative offers materialised.
According to reports in Italy, Turkish champions Galatasaray are now monitoring the situation closely and could move for the winger when the January transfer window opens.
Lookman has been one of Atalanta’s standout performers in recent seasons, but his latest fallout with Juric could spell the end of his time with the Serie A side.
