Ola Aina, the Nottingham Forest defender, has been ruled out of the Super Eagles friendlies against the Green Falcons and Mambas respectively due to a muscular injury.
The Premier League club said Aina’s absence from Sunday’s home game against Brentford was ‘long-term’ and no return date has been given.
“Ola Aina is out with a muscular injury,” said Forest boss Steve Cooper.
Aina has been recalled to the Super Eagles squad for their friendly against the Green Falcons in Portimão on Friday, 13th October.
The national team will then take on the Mozambique Mambas three days later at the same venue. The players are expected to report for training at the Faro camp on Tuesday, 10th October.
