An American lady claiming to be the wife of Jim Iyke has asked the actor for divorce.
The lady, identified as Carllie Taggett, told Legit.ng that she and Jim Iyke are legally married in the United States.
She accused him of running away from the marriage without divorcing her.
“It has been a pain I bore all these years, I have tried to be reasonable to understand why he abandoned our marriage without a divorce, but he has been evading me, that is why I decided to call his attention, pending when he decides to be reasonable or face the consequences of his actions in marriage court in the US,” she said.
Carlie stated that her marriage to him is yet to be dissolved through a legal process, and as a result, it is impossible for her to get remarried.
“Let me reiterate the point that no one is against him, I just want him to voluntarily come to divorce proceedings,” she stated.
She said since he abandoned the marriage, he has refused to pick up her calls and blocked all possible ways of reaching him.
