Controversial Nigerian actress, Nkechi Blessing, may have disturbed the hornets’ nest with her recent statement about the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

Nkechi recently attracted criticism after she made a social media post describing herself as the incoming wife to the Yoruba monarch.

The actress even went as far as using the title – Her Royal highnesses – in the post which has sparked a backlash from some Nigerians.

She said: “OLORI Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Her Royal highnesses the queen of Ile iIe kingdom incoming bride”

The post was accompanied by a picture of the actress wearing a beautiful white resembling royal attire.

Some Nigerians angered by her statement had some harsh words for the actress.

One person @Yetundesoriyan said:

“You don’t belong in anyway to Oodua kingdom. Capital No to that dream.”

@ashake_ade97 noted:

 “Abeg we no want you in Ife dey your dey jeje.”

However, few social media users felt differently about the issue
