British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua is eyeing a fourth win in 11 months as he gears up to fight his stocky Cameroonian opponent Francis Ngannou in a heavyweight boxing match-up scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday night.
Joshua, a former unified WBO, WBA, and IBF heavyweight champion, has won his last three fights against Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, and Otto Wallin intending to defeat Ngannou.
When asked to predict the outcome of his fight against Ngannou, 34-year-old Joshua, who appears to have rediscovered his form, recently said he would ‘deliver’.
“Official prediction? I deliver; I’m the postman,” Joshua said.
However, his opponent, Ngannou, has promised to give Joshua a run for his money while also challenging himself to prove that he can be the underdog in the much-anticipated fight.
“This is just my second boxing match, even though I am taking on the two best guys in the world in boxing,” Ngannou said.
“I am going in there to prove that you can be the underdog and make it, and stand my ground.”
