The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council have cancelled their presidential campaign rally in Kano state without stating any reason.

House of Representative member and secretary of the campaign council James Faleke made the statement on his Twitter handle that there will no longer be a rally in the state.

The lawmaker also did not announce the new date for the rally in Kano which has in the past recorded the most votes for the APC during the elections.

Faleke on Thursday, February 9, 2023, said:

“Good evening all. Please be informed that the next Kano Rally for the 16/2/23 is hereby cancelled. Signed. James Faleke.”

Nigerians reacted to the sudden cancellation of the rally on social media as some believed it was due to the scarcity of the new naira notes.

Obagoriola Olumuyiwa, @Obasteve91 said: “There is no cash for mobilization.”

Yahaya MM, @StudentYahaya, added: “No cash for mobilisation, thanks to Emifiele.”
