The presidential campaign councils of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have challenged the Department of State Services to reveal those planning an interim government.
The two leading political parties urged the DSS to get tough with the plotters and put them to book.
Both councils told the Punch on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Abuja, the push for the interim government was illegal and a threat to democracy, adding that the perpetrators should be exposed and arrested.
The DSS had earlier confirmed that there was a secret plot by some politicians to install an interim government in Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to hand over to the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on May 29, 2023.
However, some politicians have requested President Buhari not to swear the APC presidential candidate in as they argue that the just election was not credible.
