Oluwayemisi Ajayi, a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized supporters of Peter Obi, accusing them of always celebrating any bad news about Nigeria.

Ajayi, a political enthusiast, alleged that once there is negative news about Nigeria, Obi’s supporters, popularly known as ‘Obidients’, are always in a jubilant mood.

She was reacting to comments made by Obidients regarding the recent increment in the pump price of petrol.

The Obidients have been trolling their counterparts in the APC since the price skyrocketed, sparking outrage among Nigerians.

Ajayi wrote on her social media page:

“The way OBI’dients jump for joy whenever they hear any bad news about Nigeria is so troubling.

“It’s just as if bad news is what they pray to hear every single day of their lives, and whenever there’s good news from this administration, they feel sad and quiet. Is the goal not to have a better Nigeria for all?”

In another post, Ajayi, who is also a media practitioner, expressed her confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s capacity to solve Nigeria’s challenges.

She stated that the president is proactive and would ensure a better Nigeria, adding that it is a gradual process that requires time.

“Whatever it is Nigeria is going through now couldn’t have been avoided. Now we have a proactive president whose goal is to build a better Nigeria.

“I believe strongly in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I believe in his ability to be able to deal with these issues head-on. It’s a gradual process, and we will get there soon enough,” she said.
