The indictment follows a thorough investigation and a public outcry for justice, amplified by social media influencers who released names and photos of the alleged perpetrators. The individuals indicted include:

The violence erupted during a political rally, resulting in the death of the police inspector and injuries to several other individuals.
Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor, a political observer and social media influencer known as Ultimate Equal, was among the first to publicly accuse the APC in Edo State of being behind the incident.
In a viral video, he urged Governor Godwin Obaseki to take swift action against those responsible.
His words: “I want to appeal to Godwin Obaseki, as the number one citizen of Edo State, that this crime is a crime against humanity.
”You must wake up and ensure that the trigger-lover who shot the police officer is found. We are not going to rest on this matter.”
The indictment of Tony Kabaka and the others is seen as a significant step towards justice.
The Edo State Police Command has yet to officially comment on the indictment, which has since gone viral on most social media platforms.
