Liverpool coach Arne Slot has shared a worrying update regarding the injury sustained by first-choice goalkeeper Alisson during last Sunday’s game against Bournemouth.
The Brazilian international sustained a hamstring injury which has effectively ruled him out of Liverpool’s English League Cup third-round match against West Ham on Wednesday.
Slot says Alisson has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game but he may be back in the frame at the weekend when Liverpool take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He said: “We are looking at the weekend versus Wolves but it’s going to be tight”.

“He will not be there tomorrow vs West Ham”.
On Trent Alexander-Arnold’s recent comments about being a ball-playing defender, Slot said that it is clear that the player has been a good defender who can do great things with the ball.
“It’s clear to me that he has been a good defender all his life”.
“But because he is so, so special with the ball the main emphasis goes to him doing special things with the ball”. The coach said.
