As Mikel Arteta seeks to expand his attacking options for the upcoming campaign, it has been reported that Arsenal are nearing a deal to acquire Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze.

Negotiations between Arsenal and Palace have reportedly advanced in recent days, and the Gunners are optimistic they will sign the 26-year-old before the transfer window ends.

Despite missing a portion of the season due to injury, Eze — who has been one of Palace’s most impressive players in recent years — finished the Premier League season with 11 goals and 4 assists.

Although several elite clubs have expressed interest in him because of his flair, inventiveness, and adaptability, Arsenal are now seen to be in first place.

With the addition of the England international, Arsenal’s attacking line and midfield would gain additional depth, allowing Arteta greater tactical options as the team looks to win.

Although Crystal Palace are hesitant to part with their best player, it is understood that they might approve the transfer if Arsenal match their asking price, which is thought to be more than £60 million.

Eze became one of the Premier League’s most promising players after joining Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2020. He has also been called up to Gareth Southgate’s England team as a result of his performances.
