English Premier League side Arsenal FC have included Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface in their four-man striker shopping.

Arsenal FC were desperate for a new striker to join them midway through the EPL season after a miserable stretch of winter form, in which they won just one of seven games from December 9 to January 7 with just five goals to their name.

The London side, coached by Mikel Arteta, is badly in need of a prolific striker, with the leading number nine, Gabriel Jesus, struggling with a knee injury, while Eddie Nketia is considered not to be a long-term option.

Arsenal is anticipated to give the acquisition of a new marksman top priority this summer after allowing Folarin Balogun to leave for Monaco during the summer. Four names are reportedly being considered, per TEAMtalk.

First among them is 2022–23 Serie A top scorer and Napoli hero Victor Osimhen, who scored 26 goals en route to winning the Scudetto the previous season but is set to depart the team at the end of the current campaign.

Though Paris Saint-Germain is also in the running and is better positioned to pay Osimhen’s massive £113 million release clause, the Gunners are reportedly trailing Chelsea in the race to sign the Nigerian international.

Victor Boniface, the goal-scoring machine for Bayer Leverkusen, who scored 10 goals in 16 domestic league games to establish himself as a strong striker in the German Bundesliga, is reportedly being pursued by Arsenal as well.

Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon FC, who has been a revelation in Portugal since leaving Coventry City and has 31 goals and 11 assists in 34 games across all competitions, is reportedly one of the alternative targets being considered by Arsenal.

Joao Pedro of Brighton & Hove Albion, one of just four players this season with more goals in the Europa League than Gyokeres, is also being watched by Emirates officials.
