Arsenal F.C. are still on course for the Premier League title after Video Assistant Referee (VAR) cancelled Callum Wilson’s goal, which would have secured a draw after the Gunners had taken the lead, news.ng reports.

West Ham United F.C. held Arsenal to a goalless draw for 83 minutes until Leandro Trossard’s goal, which brought relief to Mikel Arteta.

It would have been a disappointing evening for Mikel Arteta and his boys when West Ham’s Wilson scored, but VAR intervened.

West Ham are still in the relegation zone in 18th place after two consecutive losses.

Arsenal have extended their lead to five points with 79 points, while Manchester City F.C. trails with 74 points and has an outstanding match against Crystal Palace F.C. on Wednesday, May 13.

Elsewhere, the Sunday afternoon fixtures all ended in draws. Burnley F.C. drew 2-2 with Aston Villa F.C., as Villa levelled on points with Liverpool F.C. on 59 points, though both teams are separated by goal difference, giving the Reds the upper hand.

Also, Crystal Palace forced Everton F.C. to a 2-2 draw after Jean-Philippe Mateta scored in the 77th minute.

The same happened between Nottingham Forest F.C. and Newcastle United F.C., as Forest held the Magpies to a 1-1 draw after Elliot Anderson found the back of the net in the 88th minute.
