Spanish tactician Mikel Arteta has revealed the possible points tally that his team Arsenal must secure to dethrone Manchester City and become English Premier League (EPL) champions.
Arteta who opened up in a press conference ahead of the friendly against Manchester United said that Arsenal need to garner 114 points to dethrone Manchester City as champions.
He noted that going into next season, the objective is to get nothing lower than 114 points to earn the right to win and have the biggest probability over Manchester City.
“114 points. If we do that, we will win the league for sure,” Arteta said.
“This is the objective, from there we’ll see what we get. Earn the right to win it and have the biggest probability over the opponent.

“When we have difficulties we are still better than the opponents. That’s the objective.”
The coach also disclosed that the message is clear with his players on what they need to do to become champions as they need to raise the standards to stand a better chance.
“I need to raise the standards, I need to bring something I haven’t brought yet. Individually and collectively the same.
“The more we do that, the better the chance it’s going to be to win the Premier League. This is what we want basically.
“Just work every day with that excitement and understanding of the difficulty. And when those difficulties come, staying together and go through them efficiently.” The coach noted.
