Atiku, Melaye. others lead protesters to INEC headquarters on election grievances

The People Democratic Party (PDP) protested at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja after claiming the recently held presidential election was not free and fair.

Atiku Abubakar, Dino Melaye, Aminu Tambuwa, Boni Abdulahi, Raymond Dokpesi and other top shots of the PDP led supporters to the office of the commission at about 11 am Monday, March 6, 2023.

The protesters were dressed in all-black attires protesting against the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The APC candidate emerged winner with 8,794,726 votes while Atiku who represented the PDP was runner-up with 6,984,520 votes.

The Labour Party (LP) and the New Nigeria’s Peoples Party (NNPP) were also not in support of collation and counting process.
