The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said it is currently not recruiting.
In a statement issued on Monday, the anti-corruption agency encouraged the public to dismiss reports that the commission was recruiting additional officials for its ranks.
The EFCC, on the other hand, stated that the false news was spread by fraudsters with the intent of defrauding Nigerians.
The Commission also revealed that it uncovered a connection of cyber links that appears to be for registering purported job information.
According to the statement, the EFCC said the news has since spread throughout social media channels.
As a result, the EFCC warned against clicking on any link that does not lead to the anti-corruption agency’s website.
“The EFCC is therefore advised to disregard information circulating in the social media purporting the commencement of EFCC’s 2023 online recruitment from July 4th, 2023. The information, which is obviously the handiwork of fraudsters, advises prospective applicants to click a link (https//spukd.com/EFCC-2023-Recruitment-Portal).
“The Commission warns the public against clicking any link that cannot be found on its website (www.efcc.gov.ng)
“We also use this opportunity to urge members of the public to cross-check any EFCC employment information in the social media with the Commission by email to : [email protected] or call 08093322644.
