Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has drawn attention to a rising prediction platform on the BNB Chain ecosystem called Predict.fun, a project that blends event forecasting with passive yield generation. Although still in its early stages, the platform is beginning to gain visibility after CZ’s recent post on X, where he described its model and clarified that his mention should not be viewed as an endorsement. He also noted that the creator previously worked at Binance and that the project received incubation support from YZiLabs.

Predict.fun combines typical prediction-market mechanics with a system that allows users’ locked funds to earn yield while they participate. Despite its unique pitch, the platform remains a small player in the broader sector. It currently reports about 12,000 users and roughly $300,000 in total volume—a fraction of what the industry’s top platforms record. For comparison, Polymarket has processed more than $3 billion in trades, while Kalshi’s regulated U.S. marketplace has surpassed $587 million. Other smaller competitors, such as Limitless, have struggled to cross even the $15 million mark, highlighting how difficult it is for new platforms to gain traction.

Predict.fun is betting heavily on the reach of the BNB Chain, which maintains one of the largest and most active user bases among blockchain networks. Over the past year, the number of active wallets on the chain has nearly doubled, and estimates from Token Terminal suggest it now commands around a quarter of all blockchain-based active users. Although this scale provides a large potential audience, translating that into meaningful liquidity and consistent prediction activity remains an ongoing challenge.

The renewed focus on prediction markets is part of a wider push within the BNB Chain ecosystem. Just recently, Trust Wallet—a company owned by CZ—launched a Predictions feature for its 220 million users, allowing them to speculate on sports, politics, entertainment, and other global events directly inside the app. The feature is powered by Myriad and will soon integrate with major platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi, further positioning Trust Wallet as a comprehensive hub for prediction-related trading.

Alongside Predict.fun, the ecosystem is also supporting other initiatives such as Opinion Labs, which launched its mainnet earlier this year. Backed by YZiLabs, Opinion Labs aims to develop forecasting tools and data services, though it faces the common hurdles for new entrants: liquidity constraints, regulatory bottlenecks, and the difficulty of sustaining user engagement.

While CZ himself is cautious about appearing to endorse specific projects, his spotlight has nonetheless placed Predict.fun in front of a much wider audience. Whether the platform can evolve into a competitive force within the global prediction market industry will depend on continued innovation, sufficient liquidity, and the ability to keep users active within an increasingly crowded field.
