English Premier League (EPL) side Brentford FC have triggered the option to sign 18-year-old soccer sensation Benjamin Frederick from Nigerian side Simoiben FC.
The move to sign Benjamin on a permanent basis by Brentford FC was made known in a post shared on X by football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
According to the post shared on social media by Romano, the central- defender, who had interests from other top teams in Europe, signed a four-year deal with Brentford FC.
Romano wrote, ‘‘Brentford trigger buy option to sign Nigerian talented defender Benjamin Frederick (18).

‘‘Brentford decided to activate the option and sign him from Kaduna-based Simoiben Academy, sources from Nigeria confirm.
‘‘The contract will be valid until 2028.’’ The post by the Italian journalist concluded.
After his move was made permanent, the player said that signing for the club was a great moment for him and also promised to do his best to reach greater heights.
“Signing permanently for Brentford is a great moment for me and my family and I want to thank everyone who started this journey with me.
“I want to repay the club’s trust in me by continuing to do my best and pushing to even greater heights,” the former Nassarawa United player told Brentford’s official website.
