One of Nigeria’s top cement manufacturers, BUA Cement Plc, has declared a Profit After Tax (PAT) of N356.04 billion for the year ended December 31, 2025, four times higher than the N73.91 billion declared in 2024.

News.ng reports that BUA’s audited financial statements show revenue from contracts with customers increased from N876.47 billion in 2024 to N1.179 trillion in 2025.

The company’s gross profit doubled from N300.27 billion in 2024 to N604.18 billion, buoyed by expanded margins despite pressures on operating costs.

There was a slight decrease in the cost of sales, as the company recorded N575.26 billion compared to N576.20 billion in 2024.

Operating profit increased from N144.30 billion in 2024 to N504.55 billion in 2025, in line with revenue growth despite higher administrative and distribution costs.

While finance costs stood at N56.29 billion in 2025 and N60.05 billion in 2024, the cement manufacturer recorded a decline in net finance costs to N39.28 billion from N41.86 billion in 2024, made possible by improved finance income and a reduction in foreign exchange losses.

In addition, net foreign exchange losses declined sharply to N9.70 billion from N92.11 billion in 2024.

According to the financial statements, Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at N465.28 billion in 2025, compared to N99.63 billion recorded in 2024. Income tax expenses surged to N109.24 billion, up from N25.72 billion in 2024.

Comprehensive income for the year ended December 31, 2025, stood at N353.77 billion, up from N71.05 billion in 2024.
