Kano State Governor Umar Ganduje has alleged that President Muhhamadu’s administration’s redesign of the naira is aimed at truncating Nigeria’s democracy.
The witty governor made the statement when he met with the Forum of Former Parliamentarians, North-West zone on Wednesday night, February 15, 2023.
The meeting was aimed at assuring that the forum is still in support of helping the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win the general elections.
Ganduje made the claim that the Buhari administration is working against the victory of the ruling party ahead of the 2023 polls.
The former deputy governor said that despite helping Buhari win the 2015 and 2019 elections, he has resorted into the paying the APC back by destroying the party, Daily Trust confirmed.
Ganduje was quoted: “Imagine someone has been contesting without winning elections until after a merger was formed. He won the election and spent four years and re-contested again and he won, now that he is about to go, he is doing nothing but to destroy the party that elected him.”
