Capcut has notified users about changes to its conditions for the free tier in the last few days.
The company’s one gigabyte of free cloud storage, which was offered till now, is disappearing. Now, Capcut’s cloud storage will cost you money.
The cost of the available plans is $2.49 for 100 GB and $7.49 for 1000 GB per month. Because of this modification, artists will have to either buy more storage or figure out other ways to share and keep their works of art.
A company spokesperson explained, “From August 5th, users will be able to add one collaborator to their CapCut account for free. If users want to collaborate with more people, CapCut offers the Team Tier package, which allows users to collaborate with more user accounts to use the same cloud space.”
Besides the storage modifications, CapCut will also lower the number of complementary collaborators permitted on an account. Users can currently work together for free with up to five individuals.
Nevertheless, this number will drop to only two as of August 1. Users will need to upgrade to the Team Tier package to work with more people.
Newsng gathered that users have received notifications about these modifications over the last few days, making sure that everyone is informed of the impending changes.
Customers who are yet to be subscribed to a storage plan will only be able to download their existing projects and files; they will not be able to upload new ones or make modifications.
