Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has landed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the much-anticipated Six Kings Slam tournament—a blockbuster exhibition event that brings together six of the world’s top male tennis stars, who will battle for a staggering $6 million prize.
The 21-year-old world No. 2 is set to compete alongside tennis heavyweights Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune in the Saudi capital. The event, billed as one of the most lucrative and star-studded in tennis history, kicks off later this week at the state-of-the-art Kingdom Arena.
Alcaraz, who recently wrapped up a strong season with titles on both clay and hard courts, expressed excitement about returning to the Middle East.
“It’s always special to be part of something new and historic. Riyadh is hosting some of the best players in the world, and I’m here to win,” he said upon arrival.
The Six Kings Slam is part of Saudi Arabia’s growing investment in global sports, aimed at making the Kingdom a premier destination for world-class competitions. Beyond the massive cash prize, the event carries prestige—with players battling for bragging rights as the first-ever Six Kings champion.
Tennis fans around the world are watching closely as Alcaraz, widely seen as the future face of men’s tennis, looks to assert his dominance over both his legendary and next-gen rivals.
“It’s going to be electric,” said event director Majed Al-Sorour. “We’re bringing together six kings of the court—and only one will reign supreme.”
