The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has reduced the doping ban imposed on French player Paul Pogba who is serving a ban from all football activities due to doping.
Paul Pogba who has been going through a hard time will be back to action in 2025, as his 4-year drug ban has been reduced to just 18 months by the CAS.
Reports say the player who plies his trade with Serie A side Juventus can start training in January and then he will be allowed to play official matches by March.
While reacting to the reduction of his ban, Paul Pogba said that he would like to express his thanks to the Court of Arbitration and Sport’s judges who heard his explanation.

“Finally the nightmare is over. I can look forward to the day when I can follow my dreams again,” Pogba said in a statement. He maintained that he never knowingly breached World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations when he took a nutritional supplement prescribed by a doctor, which does not affect or enhance male athletes’ performance.
“I play with integrity and, although I must accept that this is a strict liability offence, I want to place on record my thanks to the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s judges who heard my explanation.”
Recall that the 30-year-old soccer star received a heavy punishment in March from the anti-doping prosecutor’s office in Italy after testing positive for testosterone following Juventus’s early season-opening match against Serie A side, Udinese.
