Nigeria’s central bank has announced plans to convene the 302nd session of its Monetary Policy Committee later this month.
The meeting is set to begin on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with proceedings continuing the following day, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The sessions will be held at the CBN’s main offices in Abuja, specifically in the MPC Meeting Room located on the 11th floor.
During these deliberations, committee members will evaluate both local and international economic conditions as part of their mandate to maintain monetary stability and ensure a robust financial sector. The gathering is expected to yield important decisions on monetary policy direction, including matters related to lending rates and inflation control measures.

Recent currency market data shows the naira experienced a slight strengthening of 0.05 per cent at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market, ending Tuesday’s trading at N1,506.08 versus the previous day’s rate of N1,506.84. Meanwhile, unofficial market rates held steady at N1,520 per dollar, with GTBank’s international transaction rate also remaining unchanged at the same level.
