Champion Breweries Plc has announced that its Board of Directors will convene on Friday, October 31, 2025, to review and approve the company’s unaudited financial statements for the third quarter ended September 30, 2025.

The brewing company, listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited, disclosed through its Company Secretary, Tosan Atle Aiboni, in a notice to shareholders and the investing public Monday.

“This is to notify the shareholders of Champion Breweries Plc (the Company), Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company has been scheduled to hold on Friday October 31, 2025, to among other items, consider and approve the Unaudited Financial Statements for the period ended September 30, 2025 (2025 Q3 UFS),” Aiboni stated in the announcement.

In compliance with regulatory requirements, the company has entered a mandatory closed period, which restricts insider trading activities. The closed period, which began on October 1, 2025, will remain in effect until 24 hours after the public release of the Q3 financial results.

“Pursuant to Rule 17:18 (a) of the Exchange’s Rulebook on Closed Period (as amended), the Closed Period which commenced on 1 October 2025, shall remain in effect until twenty-four (24) hours after the release of the Company’s 2025 Q3 UFS to the public,” the company secretary explained.

During this period, strict trading restrictions apply to company insiders and their associates. “Consequently, no insider of the Company and their connected persons shall deal in the products of the Company or with sensitive information, directly or indirectly during this Closed Period,” Aiboni added.

The closed period regulation is designed to prevent insider trading and ensure market integrity by restricting transactions by individuals with access to material, non-public information about the company’s financial performance.

News.ng reports that the approval of the Q3 financial results will be key as it will provide insights into the company’s performance during the period and its position in Nigeria’s competitive brewing sector.

The financial statements are expected to be released to the public shortly after the board’s approval on October 31, 2025.
