English Premier League (EPL) side Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, with negotiations on the deal said to be in the final stages.
This was made known in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who stated that Chelsea are now clear favourites to sign Adarabioyo.
Romano stated in his post on his official social media account that Adarabioyo will be the first signing of new Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca if everything goes according to plan.
‘‘Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Tosin Adarabioyo, negotiations are in the final stages.
‘‘Newcastle has been working on Tosin deal for weeks but #CFC now clear favourites, cautious until it’s sealed.

‘‘Tosin to be first signing for Enzo Maresca, if all goes according to plan.’’ Romano wrote on his X handle.
Newcastle United also covets Adarabioyo. He began his professional career with Manchester City and made his senior debut in 2016 after rising through the club’s youth divisions.
The 26-year-old youngster, who played 14 times for England’s under-16 and under-19 teams, is also a potential recruit for Manchester United, according to sources reported by ESPN.
The player hasn’t committed to a new deal with Fulham, despite earning £47,000 a week. Adarabioyo has decided to leave the team, despite rumours that he and the club were in contract talks.
