English Premier League (EPL) side Chelsea FC are plotting to hijack Newcastle United’s recent move to sign free agent Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham FC.
According to reports, Chelsea is considering a deal for Adarabioyo in an attempt to fill the void left by the departure of Thiago Silva, a seasoned centre-back from Brazil.
Adarabioyo might be interested in the Chelsea move since it would provide him a greater platform to gain exposure abroad while he waits to sign with the Blues.
This comes after Newcastle coach Eddie Howe approved the move by his club to secure the services of Adarabioyo from Fulham.
This was made known in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who informed that Howe has approved the signing of Adarabioyo and Bournemouth player Lloyd Kelly ahead of next season.

Romano noted in his recent post on social media that Kelly is expected to join Newcastle as a free agent while ongoing negotiations with Adarabioyo are going well.
Adarabioyo, who started his professional career with Manchester City, made his senior debut in 2016 after progressing through the club’s youth ranks, is also wanted by Manchester United.
According to sources cited by ESPN, Manchester United is also a possible destination for the 26-year-old player, a former England youth international who represented the country on 14 occasions between the under-16 and under-19 levels.
The player, who currently makes £47,000 per week, has not signed a new contract with Fulham. The player and the club are said to have been in contract talks, but with less than a month left in the 2023–24 season, Adarabioyo decided to move on.
