English Premier League (EPL) side Chelsea FC are set to complete a deal worth £35 million to bring Nigeria-eligible striker Samu Omorodion from Athletico Madrid.

This was revealed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, who stated that Chelsea is already planning Samu Omorodion’s medical tests.

Romano revealed on Twitter that Athletico has agreed to the player’s fixed fee, and the transfer documents are being prepared.

The journalist also disclosed that German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and other clubs in Europe tried to sign the player who opted to join Enzo Maresca’s team.
