Respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that English Premier League club Chelsea FC is still interested in signing Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
Romano, who disclosed in a recent post on social media stated that Chelsea’s interest remains as they still admire the player who moved from Napoli to Galatasaray on loan.
“Nothing is happening now regarding Osimhen. Chelsea’s interest remains, and they still admire the player, but there are no ongoing negotiations,” Romano said in his latest Daily Briefing.
”It would also be disrespectful to Galatasaray, who invested significantly to secure him on loan.” He added.

On Friday, September 3rd, the European summer transfer window closed, and Osimhen was thought to have finalized his deal with Stamford Bridge.
However, a Chelsea delegation that flew to Italy on deadline day to finalise his move to the English Premier League FC left Napoli after failing to reach an agreement with Osimhen.
The striker was reportedly offered a contract by Chelsea worth €155,000 per week, which is less than what he was paid at Napoli, but he refused to accept the wage decrease.
Osimhen was excluded from Napoli’s squad due to transfer drama on deadline day. However, he later secured a loan move to Galatasaray.
