Nigerian actor Desmond Elliot has prostrated in the traditional Yoruba way to apologise to all Surulere people to forgive him for any wrong he may have done to them.
Elliot, who is a lawmaker representing Surulere 1 in the Lagos House of Assembly on the platform of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), has asked his constituents to give him another chance by voting for him in the coming election.
After his pleas, the people promised to vote for the actor-turned-politician on Saturday, March 18.
In a post on Instagram, the politician also urged citizens to learn how to live with people they don’t agree with.

Meanwhile, Desmond Elliot has opened up about the circumstances surrounding a wooden bridge project he funded for his constituents.
Elliot, a lawmaker representing Surulere I Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, was criticised in 2020 after photos of the wooden bridge surfaced online.
However, the politician in a breakfast show on TVC explained that the community had asked him for 800k to construct the bridge themselves.
Elliot said he had gone to the area to console a mother who had lost her 13-year-old daughter in a canal.
