Despite her public demeanour, Nigerian disc jockey and millionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has been frank about the obstacles she endures.
In a message posted on her Instagram Story on Sunday, July 13, the billionaire heiress described the previous week as one of the most difficult moments of her life.
Despite the challenges, she expressed gratitude for persevering, saying that the experience highlighted the importance of being authentic rather than putting up a front.
“This week nearly finished me. It’s been one of the hardest I’ve ever had, and honestly, I’m just proud I made it to Sunday,” she wrote.
“I’ve learned that being real helps more than pretending. Grateful for a fresh start this Sunday,” she added.
Cuppy has acknowledged in several interviews and social media posts how difficult it was for her to complete her Master’s degree at Oxford.
She said she had to “stretch herself” during that time because she was “a student during the day and DJ Cuppy at night.”
She admitted that she “lost herself during that process” and has publicly described having a “love-hate relationship with Oxford University.”
Despite doing “the most reading I’ve ever done” and being “the slowest in my class,” she said she felt “so much better for it” in the end.
