In a recent interview with journalist Mike Solana on Pirate Wires, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey shared an optimistic forecast for Bitcoin, suggesting that by 2030, the cryptocurrency could soar to a value of at least $1 million and potentially surpass that mark.
Dorsey, who now heads the financial services firm Block, stressed the collaborative nature of the Bitcoin ecosystem, highlighting how every individual’s contribution serves to enhance the network and consequently drive up its value.
Beyond his Bitcoin projections, Dorsey shed light on his departure from the board of BlueSky, a decentralized social network he co-founded as an alternative to Twitter.
Expressing dissatisfaction with BlueSky’s evolution into a more centralized entity, Dorsey stated the importance of true decentralization and censorship resistance, values he believes are better embodied by platforms like Nostr.
Despite challenges such as compliance investigations facing Block’s subsidiaries, Square and Cash App, Dorsey remains committed to Bitcoin, announcing plans for Block to reinvest 10% of its gross profit from Bitcoin-related products back into acquiring more BTC each month.
