Rena Wakama, the Nigerian female basketball team coach nicknamed the D’Tigress, is upbeat about her team’s chances ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The tough-talking coach has revealed that things have been going well in camp with the players who are in high spirits ahead of the forthcoming Olympic games.
Wakama also noted that she is excited and looking forward to the games as she is confident that the girls will be able to display their talents when they get to Paris.
“Things have been going well in the camp in the last few days, as we have had great practice sessions and the girls are in great spirits,” Wakama remarked in a chat with NBBF media.

“The girls are responding well to training and getting better, every day. And that’s what matters.
“I am confident that the girls will be able to display their talents when we get to Paris. I’m excited and looking forward to the games.”
In a related development, three warm-up games will be played by D’Tigress, in anticipation of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The Games are slated to take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
D’Tigress just left for Saarbrucken, Germany, to begin their pre-Olympic training camp.
