German-Croatian professional football coach Edin Terzić has issued an official statement after stepping down as the coach of Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
Recall that Dortmund in a post shared on its official X handle (formerly Twitter) informed that Terzic had departed the club for pastures anew after he requested to step down from his job.
“Edin Terzić leaves Borussia Dortmund,” Dortmund wrote on its official X handle.
“The coach, who won the DFB Cup with BVB in 2021, finished runner-up in the 2023 championship, and reached the 2024 Champions League final, asked BVB to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
“Borussia Dortmund agreed to the request after a joint discussion.” The club noted in its post on X.

Terzic has now issued an official statement after stepping down as coach of Dortmund where he told fans of the club that it was a tremendous honour to lead the club to a DFB-Pokal victory and recently to a Champions League final at Wembley where they lost to Real Madrid.
“Dear Borussians, even though it pains me greatly right now, I want to inform you that as of today, I will be leaving BVB. It was a tremendous honour to lead this great club to a DFB-Pokal victory and recently to a Champions League final”.
‘‘After our final in Wembley, I asked the management for a conversation because, after ten years at BVB, including five years in the coaching team and two and a half years as head coach, I feel that the upcoming restart should be led by a new person”. The coach wrote.
