Eduard Romeu, Barcelona’s vice-president, has confirmed that Lionel Messi will be welcomed back to the club under “good conditions”.
The Argentine star Messi has been linked with an expected return to Barcelona FC since he left the FC club in 2021 for PSG. However, he decided to be part of Inter–Miami this summer.
With MLS seasons reaching an end, ending this year, the possibility of Messi going back to Barcelona on loan is been revisited. However, the move has not been possible owing to Barcelona’s ongoing financial issues.
It is expected that Messi will receive a tribute from the Barcelona fans when the (Camp Nou) reopens, and Romeu believes this will be the case.
“The only thing that I desire, and time is coming when the conditions are correct, we will honour him with a lovely tribute,” he said. “He deserves it, and are looking forward to it.”
The rest is speculation, and we don’t even discuss this topic because it has been discussed too often.
