Nasir El-Rufai has excluded Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as part of the cabal working against the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former Kaduna state governor blew hot on the current crisis rocking the nation claiming some persons surrounding President Muhammadu Buhari were looking to frustrate the efforts of APC’s presidential candidate Tinubu.
The accusations led to many thinking Osinbajo was behind the ploy to jeopardize the efforts of Tinubu ahead of the general elections.

El Rufai said on a program on Arise TV that the redesign of the naira notes which is currently causing hardship in the country was to jeopardize the chances of Tinubu ahead of the elections.
He further stressed that those behind the situation were people who wanted their candidate to succeed Buhari but lost in the primaries.
El Rufai said:
“This thought, this thinking to change the currency is designed just to bring serious bottleneck that will affect the outcome of the elections because these same people wanted President Buhari to be succeeded by someone else and that person did not win the election and that someone is not the Vice President because I saw some reports in the newspapers mentioning Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, no, not at all.
“These people are northerners like us, they are northerners like Buhari but they are intent on undermining his legacy by ensuring that they cause a crisis because after eight years of Buhari if he is succeeded by another northerner there are chances that we will have more pockets of crisis in the country.”
