With his trademark “Here we go” announcement, renowned transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that football legend Luka Modrić has officially signed a one-year contract with Italian Serie A side AC Milan.

Modrić has signed a one-year contract with AC Milan, valid until June 2026, and will arrive after the Club World Cup as planned. Deal confirmed,” Romano wrote on his official X page.
The veteran Croatian midfielder is expected to join the Rossoneri following the conclusion of the Club World Cup, with his contract running until June 2026.
Modrić will move to San Siro as a free agent after recently announcing his departure from Spanish giants Real Madrid, following a historic 13-year tenure with the club.
Reports indicate that a verbal agreement had been in place since June, and his decision to join AC Milan has been eagerly anticipated for weeks.
The 39-year-old, who won 28 major trophies with Real Madrid—including six UEFA Champions League titles—brings a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to Milan.
AC Milan sporting director Igli Tare has confirmed discussions with Modrić, highlighting the player’s strong desire to join a club focused on winning silverware.
