Leeds were comfortably leading after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s penalty in the 75th minute, but West Ham United managed to level the game, scoring two goals within four minutes courtesy of Mateus Fernandes and Axel Disasi, with goals in the 90+3rd and 90+7th minutes respectively.
The game, which progressed to extra time, was eventually decided via a penalty shootout, with Leeds claiming victory.
The 1972 winners will now play Chelsea on April 25, 2026, while seven-time winners Manchester City will face Southampton on the same day.
