The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of ₦2.001 trillion in July 2025 revenue among the three tiers of government—federal, state, and local councils.
According to the committee’s report, the gross revenue for the month stood at ₦3.837 trillion. From this amount, ₦152.681 billion was deducted as the cost of collection, while ₦1.683 trillion went towards transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings.
The FAAC disclosed that statutory revenue for July was ₦3.070 trillion, reflecting a shortfall of ₦415.108 billion compared to the ₦3.485 trillion recorded in June.
Meanwhile, Value Added Tax (VAT) collections showed improvement, rising to ₦687.940 billion in July—an increase of ₦9.775 billion from June’s ₦678.165 billion.
From the distributable revenue, the Federal Government received ₦735.081 billion, states were allocated ₦660.349 billion, and local government councils got ₦485.039 billion. Additionally, oil-producing states received ₦120.359 billion as derivation funds, representing 13 per cent of mineral revenue.
