The newly appointed coach of the senior national team of Nigeria, George Finidi, is upbeat about the chances of the Super Eagles ahead of the forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Benin Republic.
Finidi, who shared his optimism about the two upcoming games during his recent media tour, said that both games are must-wins for his team for them to be comfortable in the group.
He said; “These are must-win games for us to be comfortable in our group. I believe we will win both games.

“We have to believe we can win; the (2023) AFCON is gone, we now have to put in the effort to win again.”
Finidi is now focused on leading the Super Eagles to success in the next two World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and the Benin Republic in Uyo and Abidjan, respectively.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria, who are third in Group C of the African campaign, are behind South Africa and Rwanda. The team is now condemned to win both games.
